AM I ELIGIBILE
To apply to YoungArts, artists must be:
A citizen of the United States or permanent resident/green card recipient (copy of documentation is required in the application)
15-18 years of age or in grades 10-12 on December 1, 2017
Please also note that Finalists who have previously attended YoungArts Week are not eligible to apply in any discipline/category. We encourage these artists to participate in alumni programming. Please contact alumni@youngarts.org to find out more.

Prepare the required submission materials
Complete the application on Acceptd, an online application tool
ay the $35 application fee or get a fee waiver.
Fee waivers are available to qualified applicants, which will cover the entire cost of your application fee. To receive a fee waiver, you must upload required documentation (please see below). In order to successfully SUBMIT an application for review, these documents must be uploaded in the Payment section of the application prior to the October 13, 2017, 11:59pm EST deadline. NO EXCEPTIONS. One of the following documents is required for your fee to be waived:
An approved ACT or SAT testing fee waiver or NACAC College Application Fee waiver form.
Document that states you participate in the Federal Free or Reduced Price Lunch program (FRPL).
Document from a federal, state, or local program that aids students from low-income families (e.g., TRIO programs such as Upward Bound).
Letter from a teacher, guidance counselor or other school official stating that you qualify for and receive financial aid.
Verification letter from an official YoungArts Education Partner (Overture, Spotlight, Texas Young Masters, Aspen Music Festival, BUTI, Brevard Festival, From the Top, or Ryman Arts)

Theater encompasses classical and contemporary spoken as well as musical theater (optional). The strongest auditions demonstrate range, a commitment to craft, and illustrate the actor’s ability to make clear, nuanced performance choices that best showcase their distinct voice.
